How can people managers be champions of inclusion, and intrepreneurs in large companies

October 25, 2021 Emily Tsitrian Season 1 Episode 13

In today's episode, I converse with William A. Adam - an award-winning D&I innovator, engineering trailblazer, and global philanthropist. We cover many topics, but with a focus on how people managers can gain confidence and become influencers at their companies for diversity and inclusion topics.

William and I also chat about his earlier professional experiences. Over the course of his 30-year career in software engineering, he was one of the first Black entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley and was recently profiled by the Computer History Museum. Through his company, Adamation, William developed mission-critical custom enterprise apps for Steve Jobs' NeXT computers and pioneered a network instant messaging service purchased by the CIA. He's even been awarded two patents.
